    Shanti Mohan

    Shanti is the founding member of MyPragati. The vision is to enable the community and create a sustained effort towards empowering the youth at Aloo Bari Busty.

    Shanti is the Founder of LetsVenture, based in Bangalore. The inspiration to start MyPragati came after a trek she completed in Sikkim, where she met most of the staff from the same village.

    Sanjeev Rai

    Sanjeev Rai is the Founding member of MyPragati. Born and brought up in Aloo Bari in Darjeeling (a village of trekkers and mountaineers).

    Sanjeev is a climber, mountaineer having climbed some of the highest peaks in India and Nepal. He is committed to supporting MyPragati with his time and advice to the team.

    Karma and Pintso

    Karma and Pintso are the founding members of MyPragati. Passionate about contributing to an initiative that enabled villages in the mountains, they support the initiative by actively mentoring the village youth.

     

    They are the founders of OurGuest, an online startup that consolidates homestays in North East and Kashmir in India.

    Saraswati Sharma

    Saraswati is a college graduate with a background in pure Science. She teaches Science and Mathematics to the children at MyPragati.

    Suberna Chhetri

    Suberna is a volunteer teacher in Lower Aloobari Primary School. She holds a master's degree with honors in History. She teaches History and other arts subjects to the children at MyPragati.

    Pranay Rai

    Pranay is 3rd year college student doing bachelor's in arts with Nepali (honors). He is teaching Nepali and other subjects to the children at MyPragati.

    Pragati Yodhas

    The youth of the village have created Pragati Yodhas, a group of young volunteers who ensure that the project delivers to the needs of the village. They help with organizing events (like Sports day, Childrens picnic) to keep the community engaged. Most of the volunteers are in college and will graduate in 2024.
